2 bonded cockatiels

The Dalles OR

Description

Looking to rehome our young bonded cockatiels. The female Cyrus, Is 2.5 years and the male Indy, is about 1.5 years old. We got during the pandemic as my high schooler was isolated at home. And needed companionship. Cyrus was great. I was raised w 2 girl cockatiels and thought that Cyrus needed another bird. She did not. She was bonded to my daughter. (Thought was male). And we got Indy. He quickly bonded to Cyrus. Who reluctantly tolerates him. But they have grown closer and even laid 1 clutch. Sadly was not sat on because she still young. I have 2 young children now 4 and 2. They are both terrified when the birds fly and my youngest is too rough. I'm afraid they will injure the birds. I hate to part with them because they are both hand tame. One loves being pet. It's not right to keep them locked up all the time. They barely get out of the cage because they want to fly. I am too scared to clip wings. I would love to find someone who stays home a great amount of time. Work from home or disabled. Someone who has a lot of time to let them out and bond w them. Someone who knows how to clip wings and someone without any other pets. No cats no dogs. And someone obviously familiar with the very loud breed of bird. No apartments. They too loud. Prefer homeowner. These birds will live another 15 years at least and I want them to go to a forever home. I am so sad that our home is not a good fit for them with little ones running around. I also only want someone in The Dalles area because if they are not working out they can be returned to us. Absolutely no smoking in the home and no drugs please. Looking for safe bird home. I understand that's a lot of wants. We are not in a hurry. Please send email with your info and description of your living situation. Please put cockatiels in the subject line. Rehoming fee to include 2 birds and a cage. Negotiable for the right home.
