IF YOU HAVE SPECIFIC CONCERNS PLEASE MESSAGE US DIRECTLY!!** We are seeking a forever home for our dog, Charlie. Charlie is a gorgeous mix of Great Pyrenees, Maremma, Lab and Shepherd. Sadly, we are unable to provide the environment and training to allow this boy to reach his potential and to do what he loves. He was born to be a livestock / property guardian dog, not just a house pet. Charlie just turned one in September, so still has tons of potential for training. He is very smart. Charlie is a vocal communicator, as all LGD breeds are - so he loves to bark. When he barks, it is always for a reason - either he is hungry / thirsty, wants to go out, wants to play, sees someone outside, etc. We are able to quiet him with distractions or by meeting whatever need it happens to be. He is an amazing guard dog and would love to have a job to do. We are looking for someone who wants a big, beautiful dog to love and train so that he can reach his potential. He needs lots of outdoor, fenced space and would do best in a rural environment. Charlie knows some basic commands and is fully house trained. We are working on recall, and he does well with this in low distraction environments. Charlie walks well with a Gentle Leader head halter. He can be so sweet, and loves to play with his stuffies, play tug, fetch and chase. He gets along well with our other dog, and has been friendly to other dogs and people we meet on walks. Charlie would do best in a family without young children.
