Job description Maintenance Technician needed for 264 unit apartment complex in Hamilton Township, NJ. We are looking for a team player willing to take direction and able to work on their own or with others. Must be able to communicate, both written and orally, in English. This hands-on job requires a lot of skills such as apartment preparation, performing work orders, painting, sanding floors, tile work, electrical and cleaning. Must have a strong background in resolving plumbing issues. Physical Requirements: Frequent bending and/or stooping, standing, reaching, climbing, kneeling, crawling, grasping and manipulation of tools, parts and materials, lifting and moving material up to 75 pounds, snow shoveling etc. Job Responsibilities: Must be willing & available for emergency on call rotation to answer after hour emergency service calls on weekends and weekday evening hours. Ensure all service requests and repairs are completed thoroughly, professionally, neatly and in a timely manner. Maintain an organized, clean and safe work area. The ability to order supplies. Effective written and oral communication skills required. Comply with all personnel management policies and procedures Communicate effectively with residents, fellow employees, vendors, inspectors and supervisors. Daily patrol of grounds to clean up trash and to note and replace any lights that are out. Maintain accurate work order records. Perform other maintenance/repair work as directed by Property Manager and Maintenance Manager. Perform additional tasks and responsibilities as required Basic-Intermediate plumbing Basic-Intermediate electrical Drywall installation, repair and finishing General carpentry Painting Ice/snow removal Appliance repair Other Requirements: Must have equivalent of a high school diploma Must be able to write, read and speak English Valid Driver's License Reliable Transportation Provide Own Basic Hand Tools Compensation & Benefits: Full Time Starting at $18 hourly based on experience & possible rent reduction included after 90 days if live on property Quarterly & Annual Bonus Opportunities Medical/Dental/Vision Benefits Paid time Off 401k
