Female eclectus Parrot in need of home. Her name is Scarlett and she knows it. Even refers to herself as such. She will be 2 years old on December 8. She HATES men but is very sweet to women. She loves being on your arm, loves treats and showers and talks. She's playful and loves being out of her cage. She needs a shower at least once a week. She is a LOUD bird. If she wants more food, she'll scream, wants water, she'll scream. You leave the room without her, she'll scream. Other than that she talks and sings all day. But she goes to bed on her own when the sun goes down and sleeps through the night without her cage even having to be covered. She's a very good girl. These birds also require a very specific diet of veggies, fruits and nuts with pellets only being offered in small amounts. They also live a long time, make messes and take up space with their large cages. She is an amazing bird and I love her dearly. I absolutely hate having to find her a new home, but unforseen circumstances have caused me to have to do so. She will only go to a home who either has experience with this specific species of bird or large bird experience in general. If you don't have the time to care for and feed her properly, please don't consider her. She needs veggies and fruit every day. If you can't handle loud birds, please don't consider her. If you can't give her the time and attention she requires, please don't consider her. She gets sad when ignored for too long and birds can literally die from depression. She will come with her cage, toys, bowls, treats and whatever food I have made up for her at the time to get you started. You must have an avian vet near by. Serious inquiries only. Fee does apply.
