Seeking someone to fill soon to be vacated position of Installer-shutters and blinds. Position to be officially vacant at end of October, around 10/28, so looking for someone able to start November 1 or start shadow training even earlier. Minimal requirements: Valid Drivers License and no criminal record. Have reliable transportation. High school grad or equivalent/GED/basic literacy/intelligence. Ability to read a tape measure Basic knowledge of tools, some carpentry skills or generally handy a plus. Physically able to perform work and have dexterity; able to lift 60 lbs & occasionally climb a ladder. Take direction well, and willing to learn and repeat processes. Ability to work autonomously. Have a pleasant demeanor and interact respectfully with clients. Willing to work a flexible schedule, 3-5 days a week on the average. You’ll be able to set your own schedule eventually. Weekends optional or if you prefer to work them you may. A good installer can handle 1-3 jobs a day depending on efficiency. You will contact clients to schedule the installs yourself, so you can work as little as you want or as much as you can. Expect anywhere from $500-$2500 a week on average depending on job size and efficiency to complete as many as possible. The IDEAL CANDIDATE will also have some or all of the following qualifications: Own Truck, van, or other vehicle with ample cargo space and/or a trailer hitch and trailering experience. Carpentry/construction experience. A handful of their own useful tools and the adeptness to use them effectively. A professional appearance and good communication skills. Attention to detail. Pride in delivering consistent quality work. Ambition to rise to higher levels and eventually train someone to take your place while you procure the work.
