Be a part of history! In partnership with John Deere and Blue River Technology, we’re seeking 4 individuals in the Canton IL area to participate in a safety research group for the autonomous John Deere design. As a Farm Safety Cooperator, these candidates would have the opportunity to become a part of history, as this new technology seeks to understand visualization of the human silhouette in a real time environment. This position is ideal for members of the local agricultural community who find interest and true passion in the future of farming, and/or individuals who value research as a hub of technological advancement. When: October 19th - 22nd Where: Canton, IL (specific location TBD) Pay: $20/hr Shift: One 8 hour shift; approx.2PM-10PM. Paid for entire 8 hours even if shift finishes early! What: The tractor’s safety system needs to teach itself to spot and identify a human silhouette in real time operation. Requirements: This job will require standing in various stances/positions in the field as the safety system passes. The safety system will be ran by an operator during this trial and is 100% safe!
