Join us at the Layered Studio for a for a fun and unique cake decorating experience where you will learn how to decorate your own 6” cake with fondant pumpkins, gold drip, and fresh flowers. All materials and tools needed to create this cake will be provided by us. Simply show up ready to have fun, be creative, and eat cake!
In this class, we will cover:
The fundamentals of working with buttercream, including our tips and tricks on how to get the silkiest buttercream ever, how temperature is key to a smooth finish, and our recommendations on Swiss meringue vs. American buttercream
How to properly frost a cake in a smooth finish
How to make fondant pumpkins
How to add fresh flowers to a cake
How to create a metallic drip
Also included in this class:
Charcuterie cones, desserts, and drinks to give us the energy we need to decorate our little hearts out!
A 6-inch cake - flavor tbd - that is ready to be decorated by YOU
A cake box to bring your gorgeous creation home in (our cakes freeze well so you can pop the box in your freezer until you are ready to eat or gift it!)
