Description

Michigan Author of the Blood on the Mitten true crime series, Tom Carr, will be visiting Alpena County Library on November 9th at 6PM. He will relate tales of Michigan true crimes and dark history. Carr tailors each talk so attendees hear about incidents close to home. "Delivered in a lively manner with humor and historical context, the stories include crimes of passion, greed, insanity, and just plain awfulness. As a freelance writer and broadcaster, his work has appeared on NPR, the New York Daily News, the Detroit Free Press, and many other local, regional, and national news outlets." "Carr was born in Grand Rapids, grew up in Northville, graduated from Michigan State, and has lived and reported in Sturgis, Sault Ste. Marie and Traverse City. He now lives near Buckley, with his wife Maria, in a farmhouse where they raised their two sons." Carr will be selling his latest book, Dark Side of the Mitten, after the talk.
