Description
The Assistant Production Manager will oversee and coordinate warehouse operations including order processing, club shipments, Quality Control, and special projects. Interacting closely with the Production Manager and Leads, the role serves to assist implementation of short and long-range objectives for the department. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES • Oversees daily work flow of warehouse team • Interviews, and hires warehouse employees • Coordinates Club, Shipping/Receiving, and Special Project staff assignments • Conducts performance evaluations that are timely and constructive • Manages disciplinary actions, and termination of employees in accordance with company policy • Collaborates with WSC teams to plan, direct, and coordinate programs and projects • Ensures Quality Control of all products and services are completed timely and with accuracy • Drafts, submits, and presents various performance and management reports • Coordinates pickup, delivery, and distribution of products and materials • Forecasts peak delivery periods and issues appropriate work assignments • Provides shipping instructions, routing information; confirms and coordinates delivery times and locations • Establishes warehouse safety and security programs and training activities • Performs other related duties as assigned QUALIFICATIONS Education/Experience: High School diploma or equivalent required, Bachelor's degree preferred; Three years of related experience in DTC or warehouse operations required; Knowledge of the vision, leadership, and planning needs of the organization preferred. Knowledge: Inventory and/or logistics background is a plus; Warehouse experience; experience using Forklift/reach lift, rider jacks and clamps Skills: Ability to provide exceptional customer centric service to our clients; Strong supervisory and leadership skills; Excellent English verbal and written communication skills; Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; Excellent organizational skills with strong attention to detail; Ability to work both independently and collaboratively; Excellent time management skills with ability to assign and delegate tasks; Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software. PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Must be able to traverse DTC facility, stand, bend crawl, stretch, and squat. Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
