Found a sweet, kind dog today, running loose on the highway. He was freezing cold in the rain, covered in mud, with no collar and not fixed. We took him into ABQ to check for a microchip and found none. ** If this is your dog and you would like him back (AND are able to take better care of him in the future) please email. If not, unfortunately he will end up in the shelter ** Please, folks, take better care of your beloved pets. He was about a minute away from being hit by a truck. We found another loose dog just yesterday, off the same highway, where we’ve seen multiple dead dogs who were less lucky. Why get a dog if you refuse to care for them? Dogs make better dog guards when they are well cared for and loved. The vet’s office even said, “Oh yes, Tajique and Torreon, no one takes care of their pets out there, they just let them run loose.”
