Operations support person needed for 1-day business seminar event. Boss Up is a 1-day conference led by Strategic Business Coach Mary Jane Walsh and supports business owners and professionals to step into the next chapter of their lives. The event is on Friday, November 11, 2022 at the International House Hotel (221 Camp Street). The day includes speaking event portions, breakout sessions, and individual exercises and will host about 175 attendees. Operations support person will work under the direction of Owner and Executive Assistant and assist with various event needs throughout the day. Duties may include: Running registration table; greeting and signing in attendees, guiding/directing attendees, possible at-door ticket sales etc. Basic food and beverage setup, i.e. setting up coffee Various light administrative duties throughout the day, such as taking head counts, reviewing checklists etc. Assisting with light cleaning, setup, and breakdown of event space (chairs, tables, basic tech equipment, small stage etc.) The right candidate is: Available for the entirety of the event: 2-3 hours in the late afternoon or evening on Monday 11/7, Tuesday 11/8, and/or Wednesday 11/9 (some flexibility here - we can discuss) Experienced, at least at a basic level, at running or supporting events Early/on time; it is absolutely crucial that you are not late. Friendly, with strong interpersonal skills and excellent communication. This is a friendly, down-to-earth atmosphere, so being a warm, welcoming presence is the most important thing. Motivated, organized, able to act swiftly, and willing to take direction. Able to lift, pull, and push objects up to ~30 lbs. Able to stand, walk, and be on your feet frequently (though not continuously) throughout the day.
