Dances of Universal Peace - Gathering in Our Community Harvest You are invited to a special event on Sunday, 9th October 11:30am-2pm, featuring the dances of universal peace with New Zealand dance leader, Sally Azima Mabelle at Main Line Unitarian Church, Devon, PA The Dances of Universal Peace are meditation practice in motion. Drawing on the sacred phrases, scripture, and poetry of the many spiritual traditions of the earth, the Dances blend chant, live music and evocative movement into a joyful, living experience of unity, peace and integration. This taste of our true nature - as Universal Peace - opens to the possibility of a deep spiritual revolution within the person. Come join the circle at this autumn harvest time, to gather in community and experience this unique and transformational practice. We will also have moments of silent meditation between the dances, and people are welcome to have a rest when needed. Sally is an active UU music and worship leader in Aotearoa New Zealand, a multi-faith minister (cherag) in the universal sufi tradition, and a certified dances of universal peace leader. She has been mentoring and facilitating voice, presence, and communication skill workshops for 30+ years. ( Originally from the Philadelphia suburb of Blue Bell, Sally Azima is delighted to be sharing these moving meditations with us. including some prayer and dance from the indigenous New Zealand maori tradition as well as many of the better known sacred traditions.
