GENERAL LABORER ABOUT US: Port Norfolk Commodity Warehouse (PNCW) is a family owned and operated business providing warehousing and transportation solutions to customers in a wide variety of industries. JOB DESCRIPTION: We are currently seeking high energy and highly motivated candidates to work in a fast-paced warehousing environment. KEY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: - Safely Hand load and unload warehouse stock within various warehouse locations. - Maintains and safely operates assigned equipment, including but not limited to pallet jacks, shrink-wrap devices and personal protective equipment. - Stack boxes on pallets for orders as specified. - Label, stretch-wrap, shrink-wrap, band material on and to pallets as specified. - Uses brooms, mops, and other cleaning materials to clean work area. - Constantly moves about inside and outside of the building to manage assignments. - Other duties as requested. SKILLS: - Ability to work rapidly at a constant pace for the entire shift, in a fast-paced environment. - Ability to work independently or as an active member of a team. - Must be able to consistently meet company safety, accuracy, and productivity standards. - Ability to stand for extended periods of time (on warehouse floor). - Must be able to lift 50 lbs. regularly. - Must be willing and able to work a full 8-hour shift and to work overtime when necessary. - Must be flexible with start times as well as days worked, including weekends. EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS: - Warehouse experience preferred. - Forklift Certification is a plus.
