Chiweenie/Chihuahua Male needs new home

Meet Chapo he is a 1 yr male Chiweenie, when we got him at 8 weeks old we was told he was full blooded Chihuahua but he is almost 12 lbs and I have never had a Chi get that big and the vet clinic we took him to at one time suggested he is Chiweenie so he is either Chiweenie or Chihuahua. Either way due to circumstances beyond our control we have to rehome him. He is crate trained and loves to be outside, he will come with some supplies. He is good with other dogs we don't know about cats however he doesn't know a stranger. He loves and craves attention all the time and loves to snuggle in your lap or his cocoon dog bed. He is an excellent watch dog as he barks anytime he senses someone close to our front door and also will let you know by barking as well when a package gets delivered. He has excellent hearing. Sadly like i said we have to rehome him as we cannot take him to our new place.. Would love for him to go to a home with a fenced in yard as he has lots of energy. He does act goofy, like he will sometimes smile and just do goofy things. Loves his toys which will come with him, along with his leash, harness (i believe he has 2 harnesses, as one is more secure than the other when we walk him on a nature trail we put the more secure one on him) his dog bed, his crate although he does need a little bit larger crate and whatever else i locate of his as he has the tendency to hide things, will definitely need chew toys are he loves to chew when bored or left alone outside his crate. We dont know how he is with small kids but he loves our nieces who are older youngest being 10. Would want at least one reference whether vet or personal just to insure his safety and for our piece of mind. He just turned 1 on June 12th. Located in Aurora/Batavia, Illinois asking a $100 rehoming fee that is negotiable to the right home, current on all shots, needs his rabies shot however. He is not neutered, but we don't have any other male dogs so he doesn't have an issue with marking territory, willing to meet within reason but not more the 15 miles max due to fuel costs. If meeting prefer public place, police dept or park nearby
