I need to rehome my large Hooch

Description

I need to move back to PA to take care of my 84 yr old mother so that she can stay in her home for the rest of her life. It's too much for her anymore and she's starting to fall. Unfortunately, she can not have a large dog due to her HOA. I've had him since he was 7 mos old (he's about 14 mos now). He had a very rough start in life, and he has come a very long way. He is sweet and funny. He's good with cats, he doesn't even eat their cat food on the floor. He doesn't chew up anything, including his toys. But he loves chewing up his rawhide bones. He's also housebroken. He's currently about 90 lbs and still growing. He's a Dogue de Bordeaux (French Mastiff) and will end up at about 140 lbs. His body will grow about another year, and his head for another 2 yrs. (IKR). He tends to fixate on one member to super attach to, but enjoys the whole family. If you've seen the movie Hooch, that's him and they nailed his character. He gets along with most dogs as long as they are not aggressive towards him when first introduced. He loves my daughter's 2 pits and pug, and enjoys playing with the upstairs husky puppy. He leaves cats alone, but does enjoy chasing squirrels. He likes to play ball. He also loves empty 2 liter bottles. He tends to pounce like a cat when he gets the ball or bottle or toy that is thrown for him. When he needs to go out or wants to play, he makes walrus noises "talking" to you. If you tell him no or make the eh sound, he stops doing what you don't want him to do. He can become anxious at time. He responds to firm (he can be stubborn at times), but gentle hand. He was treated roughly during his previous life and it scared the hell out him. Like I said, he's come a long way. He still gets fearful and his first reaction is to run away, usually to the back door to be let back in. He will stand up for himself if cornered or thinks his people are in danger, but that's actually most dogs' reaction. He loves traveling in the car. I've driven him from PA to CO and back to IL. You have to be patient with him. It took me a week to get him to jump in the car. He is good getting his nails dremeled, cleaning out his ears, brushing and even baths. I just got him neutered last week and all his shots are up to date. He comes with 5 months of heartworm prevention medicine. He has a clean bill of health, no parasites, no heartworm and all his organs are working properly. I wanted to make sure that he wasn't bred. Ideally a home with a yard and someone home much of the day would work best. I work from home, so he is used to having his people around. I am still getting him used to walks. He will now go with me, but he tends to pull too much, so we are working on that. He's not perfect, but he's working on it. He has some trauma in his past that he's still working out, but he's already overcome much of it. I want to make sure that he will not be fought, used as a guard dog, or kept outside, so I'm asking for a small rehoming fee to weed out those and to help me with the vet bills I incurred last week (he still has stitches from neutering). I had him neutered to make sure that he wasn't bred. So, if you are interested, please tell me about yourself, your family and the home environment that he would be living in. I want to make sure that he is going to a good environment. He prefers women and will get very attached to the person that he picks as his "person". He's a lovebug.
