Looking for a Drum Major!

Hello, the Chicago Highlanders is a Palatine based pipe and drum corps who celebrated our 100 year anniversary last year. Typically, pipe bands have a drum major to lead them in parades and to add an element of class to other appearances and we've been without one for several years now. The commitment is not too demanding, our band appears in perhaps 5 to 8 parades per year and attendance wouldn't be mandatory but preferred and any other appearances would be strictly optional. The band rehearses on Thursday evenings in Palatine and would be looking for someone to come and work with the band as their schedule allows to learn parade routines and have a basic knowledge of our musical sets. We are a fun group that does a lot of appearances at charity runs / walks, corporate events, weddings, etc. and maintain strong friendships within the band, with former band members, and other area bands.
