I've lived in town almost a year, have had some CL ads up, and have jammed w a few cool people but just haven't found what I'm lookin' for yet. I'll try again!: About me: former pro, have done a lot of things w music that might impress some people mid 30s, have all my gear, practice room, PA, car, look, stage presence, professional music I'm looking to play is original heavy rock with finesse, some "jazz sensibilities" i.e. improvisation, creativity, etc I'm looking for: DRUMMER- you can do more than keep time. Looking for a creative drummer who can run along side me like Mitch Mitchell ran along side Jimi Hendrix. Some fast chops, the use of dynamics and double strokes would make you stand out! BASS - I have had several amateur/novice people come out and with the benefit of hindsight I think it would be best if you know the notes on the fret board. I'm patient, not snobby about who I play with, willing to give anybody a shot, but the simple truth is that guys too often get overwhelmed and frustrated when they constantly have to count the number of frets and strings to play a riff, and when I spend too much time teaching one person a part, other guys start picking up their phones, putting their instruments down, etc. This is a project that wants to move fast i.e. I want to write songs and share experiences, not teach anyone where the notes are on their instrument. age, race, gender, etc I'm not concerned with. Please be sincere i.e. a name, short bio, phone number, links to you playing would be cool but not necessary.
