Description

The venue for Polo on the River is River Park, just off Agnew Avenue and 1-40 in the Historical Stockyards City District within OKC. It is a spacious family park earmarked for equestrain and agriculture use. We invite you to bring your lawn chairs, picnic blankets, favorite treats and enjoy agriculture education along with equestrians competing side by side with local professionals and amateur polo players turning up the turf and riding beautiful horses. The Equestrian Heritage Event & Polo Match is a two day Polo event, but you can enjoy it one day at a time. (Nov. 18th & 19th we will host our last event before the holidays.) Gates open at 11:00 am. Agricultural vendors, youth sack races, tug of war, food vendors and viewing of the horses prepping for the big match will run through 2:00 pm. Opening Ceremonies 2:30 pm and match starts each day at 3:00 pm. Half time will be at appx 4:00 pm. Awards, pictures with the players and horses at 5:30 pm. Musicians and bands 5:30 to 7:30 pm. Park closes at 8:00 pm. Pop up tents for shade allowed only on the front row as well as dogs must be on a leash. Take advantage of our family pricing of Field Side space or individiual tickets. No outside alcohol allowed. Join our "Best Dressed Dog" and "Best Tailgate" contest for prizes. Contestants will need to check in to register and will need to come to center field during the half time Divot Stomp. Park near River Park on city streets and walk to the venue. All areas are wheelchair accessible. Boat rides available through River Cruises. This will be a rain or shine event, unless a monsoon and in that case, an alternate date will be chosen within the season.
