Imagine if Nirvana and the Beatles had a kid.According to his bio, that kid would be North Carolina singer and songwriter Bryan Bielanski.
He said he’s also excited to be touring and around people again.
An accomplished artist and former frontman for a punk band, Bielanski launched his solo career in 2020.
He said traveling solo is a lot easier than life on the road with the band got a little crazy and it was “time to let it go.”
So he did.
And just as he set out on his first solo venture, the pandemic came.
“I was in the middle of my tour and was in Arizona when everything shut down,” he said.
Not sure what would happen next, he took refuge in several national parks along the way.
Equipped with a cell phone and a lot of time on his hands, Bielanski lived in his car, wrote music, and made videos during the quarantine.
He’d play songs and ask viewers for donations.
When asked if he had any regrets, he answered with a definite no.
In fact, he said he drew much of the inspiration for several new songs from his time in the forest.
His song “Elf Girlfriend” is a perfect example,” he said. “It’s kind of my goofy, positive spin on a supernatural forest creature.”
