Instructor: Bridget Johnson
The Salem Witch Trials of 1692 were some of the most radical and widespread in the country. What kind of climate would allow for so many innocent lives being lost for false convictions? What were their convictions? While most of the victims of the Salem Witch Trials did not practice witchcraft, these events have created a unique location today. This class will be led by Bridget Johnson, a local paranormal investigator, lover of all things Salem and co-host to Spellbound Salem Radio, a podcast based on interests relative to the area. She will give an overview of the events leading up to the convictions, the indictments and the drama that unfolded 330 years ago. Although her love of Salem came from three fictional witches, she has found herself delving deep into the worlds of possibilities, accusations and tragic events that began one cold winter day in February 1692.
Stick around after the class to make intention and memorial sachets for the victims. Cards for each victim with more about them will be available. You will be able to pick from an assortment of items to memorialize your person of choice.
