Hello ! I am offering private piano lessons for the rate of $35/h. I am classically trained but would be happy to work on pop and soundtrack pieces as well. At the moment I have two students (one in their 20s and one 5 years old) and so far that's been working out great. I meet with both students once a week. I do home visits, so you have to have a piano available (electronic and acoustic are both fine). I have an upright piano myself that I have occasionally offered for classes, but I do have roommates, so classes at my home in Greenpoint would be more difficult to schedule (in other words could only work out on a relatively irregular basis). A little about me: I am from Germany, studied Comparative Literatue and Art History at NYU and am now teaching piano on the side. I started playing when I was four years old with a Russian teacher and have played ever since. However, I didn't pursue music in higher education and am thus offering my classes at a much lower rate than a professional teacher would. Ideally you are a beginner or early intermediate, or have played some time ago and are looking to take up piano again. Please feel free to reach out to me with any questions you have.
