Description

The October luncheon will be Tuesday, October 18th. We will begin socializing at 11 am and lunch will be served at 11:30 am. The choices for the luncheon for October will be Pot Roast, house salad, mashed potatoes and gravy or fried flounder, green beans and sweet potato souffle for $15.50. The speaker for our October luncheon will be Sheila Bell-Ford with Central Midlands Council of Government. Shelia Bell-Ford, is the Regional SHIP (State Health Insurance Program)/SMP (Senior Medicare Patrol) Coordinator and Nutrition Program Coordinator for Central Midlands Council of Governments with 24 years of experience at CMCOG. She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work from Limestone College, an Associate of Arts degree in Human Services and Paralegal Services from Midlands Technical College. She is a Certified SHIP Counselor, Certified Information and Referral Specialist in Aging (CRS-A/D), and Human Services Board Certified Practitioner (HS-BCP). The purpose of the Newcomers and Community Club of Lexington, SC is to extend a welcoming hand to both newcomers and existing residents of the Lexington area and to promote good fellowship within the community through social as well as charitable activities. It is a wonderful opportunity to meet new friends, develop lasting friendships and give back to the community in which we live. This club is designed for adults ages 18 and up.
