In general, each dockhand is responsible for carrying out the various operations of the marina. Pay: $17.00 - $21.00 per hour Duties and Responsibilities Each dockhand is responsible for opening duties/daily prep, grounds clean-up, general property maintenance, and all aspects of the full-service fuel dock, boat storage, and the boat rental fleet. The dockhand position requires a willingness and ability to assist with any task needed at the marina. Some of these tasks are as follows: Treat all customers with first-class customer service Perform daily opening and closing job duties as assigned Clean, inspect, and report on the condition of the rental fleet Send out rental boats Launch and stow storage customers’ boats Contribute towards a healthy, safe, clean, and fun work environment Clean boats, docks, walkways, sidewalks, equipment, and all other areas of the facility. Wash and detail boats Exhibit character that will lend themselves to a culture of qualities that possess and display a proactive, professional, honest, trustworthy, and strong work ethic Required Skills Ability to safely drive a boat with line handling skills including the ability to tie various knots, toss, and cleat lines. Unlimited or unimpaired ability to walk, bend, stoop, climb and work safely around water, on a ladder or in confined spaces. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds. Skilled in the use of a golf cart or other motorized vehicle. Faculty to operate small handheld and power tools.
