Found key on brown round thing

This morning around 10-10:30am I found a key on a brown round thing on the street facing bus stop on U St and 17th St NW in front of BenMol liquor (across the street from Hana, Japanese market) If it's yours, describe what key looks like and what brown round thing is made of. If no one claims until Friday Oct 7th, I will turn in the key to the Police Third District Station (V and 17th St NW).
