Hello, I am a former K-12 foreign language teacher. I am now a stay at home Mom to my teenage daughter who is severely diagnosed with Autism. I am homeschooling her. I have an opening for one special needs child or developmentally delayed child in my Beaverton townhome wihich is set up for some OT with a hammock and porch swing chair. I am available in our Beaverton townhome (set up for OT) from 2-7pm M-F. I am available in your home from 8:30-1:30pm M-F. I can assist with homeschooling or supplementing education. I use partial verbal prompting or a system of visual aids depending on the child's needs. I use positive reinforcement or Applied Behavior Analysis to help promote positive behaviors and outcomes. I can provide a nut free/gluten free environment if necessary. I have 4 cats so if animal allergies are an issue this would not be a good fit. I love animals so if you have pets that's great. There are a variety of activities that we like to do. If your child could benefit from increased joint attention and engagement then this would be a good opportunity. I have extensive experience working with children with Autism and other special needs. I have excellent, local references. I specialize in early childhood development, speech progression and speech prompting, and behavior challenges and behavior management. Please reach out if I can help.
