Space Poets is seeking a contributing member to play bass on our upcoming album. Our album is already written with bass recordings available. Our hope is to find a contributing member that can make these parts better or in the least learn these parts for live performances We have notation for all songs. We’ll be recording professionally end of December with an acclaimed local producer. Our style is inspired by bands like Radiohead, James Blake, Zola Blood, Death Cab for Cutie, Lo Moon and similar artists. We’re looking for someone who has professional equipment, professional ambitions and dedication to their instrument. Basic music knowledge is absolutely necessary. We’re not looking for anyone that plays solely by ear. Amateurs need not apply. We require availability on the weekends and up to two nights a week. We all share expenses for the space and if successfully auditioned we’ll require our new member to throw in their dues after a month in the project. As an intellectual contributor our new member will get writing credit and an opportunity to be a published artist. We require our new member to have competent equipment. An analog pedal board is the minimum standard for this project. Basic effects needed for this band are reverb, delay, volume pedal / expression pedal and modulation. Attached is an example of our last bassist’s pedalboard. We look forward to hearing from you if you’re interested in this undertaking.
