Description
When my son was in the 7th grade at Baldy middle school in Philadelphia, he participated in the program ran by John Hopkins University. This program gave 7 graders the opportunity to take SAT exams together with high school students in order to find candidates who can succeed in Mathematics in later studies. I tutored him for 2 months and consequently he received a score of 650 in math part of SAT, which was the best score any of Baldy students got during 6 years of participation in the program. I always had a penchant for teaching and therefore when my friends asked me to tutor their kids I was glad to help. After considerable improvement in their knowledge and test scores I began to advertise in newspapers and developed a 20 years tutoring experience. During the time I helped numerous students in General Math, Algebra I and II, Geometry, Trigonometry, Pre-calculus, and SAT/ACT preparation. I provide alternative learning resources for students that need additional scholastic assistance. I offer one-on-one and small group tutoring sessions for school and college students. Sessions are conducted in student's or my home, or in the convenient place, like library, at the time of the day convenient for the student. I offer personalized tutoring that is based on each student's specific needs. My individualized instructions provide students with test taking strategies and show them how to apply their knowledge to questions that involve problem-solving, analytical thinking, reasoning, drawing conclusions, and interpreting facts. I strive to improve student's study habits at home, which is one of the most important places of learning. I explain the subject at hand and assign homework to enforce the knowledge and skill just attained. The assignment is checked at the next session. This process helps students and families manage school and homework more efficiently. I am confident I can help you achieve your goals in a short period of time. For further info call .
