MEMCO is looking for Commercial Drywall Hangers/ Finishers in Corpus Christi, TX.    Hang and Finish drywall for walls and ceilings Fasten drywall panels to the interior metal stud frames of building Prepare panels for painting by taping or finishing joints Smooth out imperfections Able to read blueprints and designs Measure, cut, fit and fasten panels Prepare panels by sawing, drilling, or cutting holes in panels for electrical outlets, air conditioning units and plumbing Screw panels to wood or metal framework Fill joints between panels with compound Use trowels to spread compound Press paper tape to compound Smooth away excess material Cover nail and screw depressions with compound Apply coats of compound per plan and specifications Sand areas after each coat per plan and specifications Requirements: Able to work well in a team environment Can take and apply direction from supervisor Must provide own basic hand tools Must have reliable transportation and be able to pass background checks and drug test At least 2 years of experience Knowledge of tools, materials and methods used in drywall and ceiling finishing Ability to interpret construction blueprints Knowledge of the applicable safety guidelines Physically able to lift a minimum of 50 lbs Must have OSHA 10
