Description

Meet visiting student leaders from Angola, Botswana, Mali, Mozambique, South Africa, and Zimbabwe! Engage in conversations to learn about their successes, hopes, and challenges as they create initiatives to improve their home communities, and share your own experiences and ideas. The discussions will be ongoing throughout the evening, so arrive any time between 6:00-8:00pm to join the conversation and meet the students! Refreshments will be served. This event is co-sponsored by FIUTS (Foundation for International Understanding Through Students) and the Center for Global Studies. The closest University of Washington parking lot is the Central Plaza Garage. More information about parking and rates on campus is here. Off-campus street parking may also be available on the streets west of the main campus. See the campus map here.  Students are participants in the Study of the U.S. Institute (SUSI) on Civic Engagement. This is a program of the U.S. Department of State, Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs, with funding provided by the U.S. Government, administered by Meridian International Center and FIUTS.
