In the early 19th century a group of British missionaries removed key chapters of the King James Bible of 1611 for the slave population in the West Indies. The purpose of designing this distorted instrument will be revealed. More importantly this presentation will focus on the King James Bible 1611 position on the issue of slavery. Herbert Addison Burns has recently presented an highly informative lecture on the History of Cleveland's Underground Railroad at the Life Long learning Program through Case Western reserve University. He is an Historical Lecture at the Encore Program through Tri-C Eastern Campus and acting President for the Friends of the Library at the Warrensville HTS Library Branch.
