Rev. John Chol Daau is a lost boy of Sudan, evangelist, priest, pastor, journalist, and missionary of Jesus Christ to the Sudanese people. He has an amazing testimony of survival and God's protection when he escaped as one of the original lost boys of Sudan. His experiences are described in his book, God's Refugee: The Story of a Lost Boy Pastor. Rev Daau started an orphanage and school in Sudan called Good Shepherd Academy and the Good Shepherd College and Seminary. He is the founder and Editor in Chief of the Christian Times Newspaper in South Sudan. He shares the gospel in Sudan and among refugee camps.
Currently, he works to bring reconciliation and peace amongst tribes in Sudan. Rev. Daau desires to bring healing, forgiveness and reconciliation in South Sudan. Since 2011, he has been involved in the peace processes with the Presidential Committee for Peace, Reconciliation and Tolerance and the Committee for National Healing, Peace and Reconciliation under the leadership of Archbishop Daniel Deng Bul of Episcopal Church of Sudan. He helped facilitate the All-Jonglei Communities Peace Conference. In the U.S. he is speaking about how we can work together to bring reconciliation among churches, races and any group that is divided. Come join us to hear the wisdom and stories he has to share, and a message that is much needed in our culture! No need to RSVP or get a ticket, just show up and bring a friend or family member!
