Arrive at the Abilene Speedway by 6:30, Saturday October 15th. Since we are their "guests" they ask us to go in as a group, so PLEASE be on time! There are normally a TON of people. You will be required to sign up prior to the weekend so they can put us on the guest list. If you do not sign up prior to Saturday you will not be able to attend. Sorry those are the rules. They will give us wrist bands as tickets. You will be asked to sign a waiver stating you know it's dangerous in the pits and that you are responsible for any possible injuries. Not trying to scare you just making you aware that stuff happens! The Speedway is located near the end of South 1st past UPS and on the opposite side. (South side) There will be a ton of racers from around the nation. It's a big deal for the track and our city! We will be in the pits so you can walk around and see all the racers and pit crews. We will sit in the bleachers in the pits. Keep in mind this is a DIRT track so you will get dirty. They try and run the water truck a few times during the evening but it's still dirty. Don't wear white! Ear plugs are optional. They have great concessions. It's always cooler at the track so make sure and bring whatever layers of clothing you think you'll need. Especially if its windy. Obviously if it rains the event will be off. It should be a fun evening and for some of you it will be your first time at the race track.
