Come one, come all, calling all wizards and witches in the valley! Bring your flying brooms, capes and pointy hats, we'll supply glowing wands and sweet treats! The Rogue Valley Symphonic Band celebrates Halloween festivities with spellbinding music like Danse Macabre, the Sorcerer's Apprentice, and Harry Potter. There will be a children's parade through the concert hall and they will conduct the musicians in costume with magical glowing batons. In return for such tricks, there will be sweet treats so the musical spells can keep working after the Halloween festivities. Much fun will be had, complete with an on screen appearance from Mickey Mouse, the star of Disney's Fantasia in Dukas' classic Sorcerer's Apprentice. You can catch two performances--Saturday the 29th at SOU's Recital Hall and Sunday the 30th at North Medford High School's auditorium. Be sure to purchase tickets for the venue closest to you and your little witches and wizards.
