Create museum connections for your homeschool students by attending the Carter’s homeschool programs each semester. Explore the galleries with museum educators, get an up-close look at special exhibitions, and create your own artwork inspired by what’s on view.
Art is a powerful tool for expressing one’s identity and reclaiming one’s history. Join Museum educators in the Carter’s special exhibitions Speaking with Light: Contemporary Indigenous Photography and Faces from the Interior: The North American Portraits of Karl Bodmer. Participants will explore art techniques while working collaboratively on an artwork that reflects their own stories.
This program is designed for students ages 5 to17. Participants are asked to stay in family units with their adult caregivers for this program.
American Sign Language (ASL) interpretation may be provided during this event upon advance request.
