Join ACCESS at SIUE for our annual Ed Roberts Celebration as we award our student, faculty, and staff champions of accessibility and disability awareness. We'll hear from students as they share about the State of Accessibility at SIUE and how individualized accommodations are helping them succeed in their fields of study. Please join us on November 3, 2022 at 4:00p.m. in the Morris University Center - Mississippi Illinois Room. This event will also be streamed on Zoom - https://us02web.zoom.us/j/86727212348 Registration is strongly encouraged but not required. EVAC+CHAIR For this year's celebration, ACCESS hopes to raise $1,500.00 to provide an additional EVAC+CHAIR at SIUE. EVAC+CHAIRs allow for persons with a mobility impairment to be safely and swiftly evacuated from a building in the event of an emergency. Without the assistance of these devices, a person with a mobility impairment would have to wait in a place of rescue (often in a stairwell) until emergency services arrive.
