David Gregg, Executive Director, Natural History Survey gets us to think about why and how we study nature. A walk on the trails at Canonchet Farm will show how much there is to learn. And we need all ways of learning about the natural world so we can tackle issues like rare species, ecosystem services, climate change, and invasive species. Different activities appeal to different people: birding, botanizing, insect collecting, fishing, mineralogy, and much more. David’s engaging presentation will appeal to your interests and curiosity. He’ll start with a brief talk at the South County Museum and then lead us on a trail walk. This guided walk is sponsored by Friends of Canonchet Farm and is free and open to the public.
