NY State Solar is continuing our incredible growth and expanding our Installation Crew. We are adding 2 new full Installation teams and looking for Individuals with Solar Roofing experience or solid construction backgrounds who would be interested in being trained in becoming a Solar Installer/Roofer. We are now working throughout Long Island, NYC Boroughs, Staten Island and New Jersey. The ideal candidate will be experienced in various forms of the construction field and understands the needs of this position will be working outdoors, feels comfortable working on a roof, able to lift 50+ pounds and follow safety policies and procedures. This position will also require having OSHA 10 certification at minimum. NY State Solar provides an exciting, diverse work culture with a family-type environment. Roofer - Solar Installer: Assemble job components; Layout and assembly of solar modules/array and mounting hardware; Mechanical and structural mounting of racking, modules, and electrical equipment; Basic electrical wiring of solar array/system (AC and DC) Ensure proper clean-up of job site Attend training sessions on new products, installation methodology, and safety; Responsible for following the safe work practices for the installation team; and All other assignments and special projects, as requested by Management.
