Republican fears

Doesn't it seem odd that conservatives just happen to be afraid of specific things that rarely affect them. *They fear illegal immigrants and yet, if you don't live in a state that borders Mexico, it's likely that you have never even met an illegal. *They fear minorities of color. Anything different in color than white is to be feared. The vast majority of the midwestern states have so few minorities, the average conservative may not meet one for weeks or months at a time...but the fear has been programmed. *They fear their tax dollars will go toward something they hate or fear and yet, they have no clue where any of their tax dollars are really spent or seem aware of the tremendous abuse of trust where their money is concerned, because they don't require accountability from their leaders. So here's what Republican leadership does to incite fear and anger towards Democrats......they stoke the same illogical fears they've spent years nurturing in their followers. *Hate immigrants *Hate minorities *Hate government if it's a liberal idea like Obamacare. And fight it tooth and nail for over 15 years to keep the anger alive. It's not a coincidence they hate these specific things. This is how Hitler and many other fascist leaders gained control. Blame specific groups for all the worlds problems and then try to exterminate those people. Sadly, this country was built by immigrants and we cannot stop immigration but conservatives will revel in their anger anyway. America is over 50% minority....and still conservatives will find rage over something they cannot change when it would be easier to look for ways to embrace our differences. The government has ideas that work and many come from the Democrats but the party of "NO" will continue to fight against common sense, to prevent a Democrat from earning the country's respect and conservatives will spend millions of dollars to convince you that liberals are the Devil. How sad. If conservatives don't wake up soon and put their illogical fears behind them, we will continue to become a divided country and we will fall as a democracy.
