Rapid Appraisal Services, LLC has an immediate opening for an experienced Auto Damage Appraiser for daily field estimating in Houston, TX and surrounding areas.​ Majority of claims will be in Beaumont, Orange, Port Arthur markets area. Rapid Appraisal Services, LLC (RAS) provides quick, efficient and accurate estimate solutions on behalf of leading insurance companies and associated claim providers.​ The successful candidate's background could include insurance claim work, automotive estimation or body shop estimating.​ Candidate will work from home and utilize their own vehicle. Appraisers are responsible for creating collision, liability and comprehensive estimates and associated documentation; as well as proactively communicating with repair facilities and clients.​ Some assignments are 'photos only' and do not require estimates. This career demands extended road travel time to get to appointments. ***WE CAN ASSIST WITH TRAINING*** This is a commission based, 1099 position with payments calculated on completed assignments. Mileage reimbursement or fuel allowances will be discussed with potential candidates. Candidates should have excellent communication skills, be attentive to detail, possess strong knowledge of auto estimating and repair processes, preferably use of CCC One.​ Computer proficiency including electronic communications is a plus.​ Possessing a current Texas drivers license, cell phone, insured and reliable transportation, and casual business attire is required. Camera, computer and software will be provided, if needed. This job may require the ability to bend, crouch, kneel, sit in vehicle for extended periods and a variety of other physical demands. Candidates should be able to understand basic insurance claim verbiage.
