RESPONSIBILITES • (Warehouse) Daily ownership of all shipping and receiving. • (Warehouse) Consistently ensure all packages are checked in and organized accurately in a timely manner by periodically comparing order sheets with product received keeping all quantities and status’ as up to date as possible. • (Warehouse) Organization and maintenance of the warehouse including but not limited to keeping up with trash/recycling, pulling shop stock, handling scrap wire, product and wire on shelves, sweeping/cleaning floors weekly, and attending to the general tidiness of the area. • (Warehouse) Maintain all warehouse inventory stock and supplies. • (Warehouse) Attend to snow removal to sidewalks and parking lot around the building before and during office hours when needed. • (Fleet Management) Ownership in the maintenance, documentation and upkeep of Summit’s Fleet of vehicles, trailers and forklift (Regular oil changes, tire rotation, lights, wiper blades, fuel, washing and cleaning, trailer lights and brakes, trailer wheel bearings, trailer axles, etc...) • (Fleet Management) Scheduling and overseeing repairs needed beyond our internal capabilities. • (Fleet Management) Supervise Summit’s Samsara Fleet and DOT Management Platform Software. • (Fleet Management) Maintaining updated registration, paperwork, insurance, DOT Regulations and Compliances. • (Fleet Management) Collaborate on the Fleet Schedule Calendar with Logistics Team. • (Project Support) Actively support Summit installs by shipping time-sensitive packages, arranging needed materials to be ordered with the Purchasing Manager and Foreman, and receiving requests for any urgent needs from the warehouse that may arise. • (Project Support) Responsible for preparing and overseeing the trailer loading and unloading process, utilizing checklists to ensure that every part and piece needed for a project has been loaded in an organized fashion within proper DOT weight regulations. • (Communication) Frequently stay up to date and responsive with internal company communication systems such as Slack, Email, Basecamp, and Google Sheets comments. • (Communication) Maintain a helpful and approachable attitude with all Summit employees needing assistance. REQUIREMENTS • 1+ years of auto-mechanical experience preferred but not required • 1+ years of Warehouse experience preferred but not required • Flexible attitude, no such thing as “that’s not my job” • Willingness to work extra hours when needed.
