Please send inquiries to Robert Hockema (email or phone is OK) Campaign Background: Cliff Groh is running for State House District 18 in North Anchorage. This includes communities from Government Hill, nearly all of JBER, and parts of Northeast Muldoon, Downtown, and Fairview. Cliff co-created the Dividend and is running on a platform to protect and grow it. Cliff is running against incumbent Rep. David Nelson, a Republican who won by 95 votes in the 2020 election. Cliff trailed Nelson in the August 16th primary by just 35 votes. Also running is Democrat Lyn Franks. Door to Door Canvasser -Canvassers go door-to-door to contact, educate and ID voters leading into the November General Election. Canvassers will be required to participate in training with the Campaign Manager, and will work throughout Districts 18 in Anchorage. -Ideal candidates will demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills, an eagerness to make an impact in local elections, and the willingness to approach people with all different beliefs and backgrounds and start up a conversation. -Shifts: Available 7 days a week, in 4-8 hour increments -FTE: Part-time, approx. 20-25 hrs/week through Nov. 8 -Pay: $25/hr Phone Banker -Phone bankers will serve as the first line of outreach for campaigns leading into the November General Election, delivering a candidate’s message and functioning as their voice with voters. Phone bankers will be required to participate in training with the Campaign Manager. Phone bankers will use an assigned virtual program to track and report on call conversions and conversations, debriefing the team on topics raised by voters. -Ideal candidates will have excellent listening and communication skills, be empathetic and motivational in conversation, and will be comfortable sharing stories about their own personal experiences. They will have the ability to find common ground and connect with all voters, regardless of their opinions. -Shifts: Available 7 days a week, in 2-4 hour increments with preference for evening shifts -FTE: Part-time, approx. 20-25 hrs/week through Nov. 8 -Pay: $25/hr
