All Star Labor and Staffing is seeking a Quality Control Manager for a client in Orenco area of Hillsboro. This is a temp to hire position. Pay is $60-65k per year Depending on Experience. Job description Position Requirements: SUMMARY: · We are looking for a leader in Quality Control Management that is responsible for establishing, performing, and training others in quality inspection and testing procedures for incoming materials, in-process quality checks and outgoing products. Inspection of materials includes mechanical measurements, electrical measurements, and cosmetic inspection. Reviews and completes and maintains quality records per defined Quality Inspection Procedures and Test Plans. Manages and trains others on Quality Module in AX. Monitors and reports on NCR, MRB activities and drives continuous improvement and corrective action activities based on these findings. Essential Duties and Responsibilities · Assures inspections and testing of components, subassemblies, finished product, and incoming materials conform to specifications, and are completed in an accurate and timely manner. · Supervises and frequently conducts and documents First Article Inspections (FAI), in-process, and finished product inspections to determine if products are following specifications. · Performs measurements related to process validations and process capability studies. · Maintains inspection records of results and other documentation and creates report appropriate for management review. · Segregates and creates Non-Conformance Reports (NCR) for defective material and assemblies, ensuring compliance with the non-Conforming procedure. · Drives, manages, and reports to management on Material Review Board (MRB), maintains the MRB procedural documentation and process in AX. · Drives, manages, and reports to management on the Quarantine process activities in AX. · Proficient in use of the Quality Module in AX. · Trains Production personnel regarding utilization of the Quality Module (NCR process, Quality Orders, WR, etc.). · Collects, reviews and reports on recorded test data and develops, trains other on using, and maintains appropriate records. · Understands and works toward Quality objectives; continually optimizes the inspection process by identifying Quality bottlenecks that hinder Production or are inadequate to support product quality goals Competency: To perform the job successfully, an individual should demonstrate the following competencies: · Strong written and verbal communication skills. · Strong Excel and data analysis skills. · Strong presentation skills. · The ability to work in a team environment with minimal supervision. · The ability to work under time constraints and adapt to change. · The ability to work under general supervision and to define working standards. · The ability to work with a formal ERP and product documentation control system. Direct experience with AX and Bluestar a plus. · Familiarity with electronics manufacturing industry standards and practices (e.g. IPC 610 or 620). · Excellent attention to detail. Required Education and Experience · 2+ years Quality System experience ISO9001 implementation required, IPC 610 or 620 certified preferred. · ASQ certifications a plus. · Five or more years of related inspection and test experience and/or training required. · Proficient at reading part/assembly drawings. · Capable of operating various measurement instruments and gages such as pin gages, micrometers, calipers, and all other devices used to determine product acceptance. · Ability to operate electrical test equipment is required. · Work well in team environment. Communicate clearly and effectively both verbally and in writing. · Strong computer literacy required general proficiency with Microsoft Office. · Good arithmetic skills are required. · Must demonstrate safe working practices.
