EMH&T is currently looking for a CCTV Assistant to join our Infratechnologies Division. You work with specialized equipment to locate and mark storm water and sanitary sewer collection systems and assist with videotaping the interiors of pipe systems using closed circuit video (CCTV) equipment. No prior experience is necessary. We provide on the job training. This position is local although there may be occasional opportunities to travel. The work schedule is Monday through Friday, 40 hours per week. Hours worked in excess of 40 hours per week are paid at the overtime rate of time and a half.
If you travel and are required to stay overnight, you are eligible for a travel per diem. You must have a valid driver's license and pass a pre-employment background check and drug screen.
Physical Demands
Ability to work outdoors in all types of weather conditions and tolerate outdoor allergens for extended periods of time (8-10 hours per day) for the majority of the year.
Ability to stand for extended periods of time during the majority of the workday.
Ability to bend over, squat, and rise while performing tasks.
Ability to lower and raise video camera and recording equipment with a total weight from 60 to 75 lbs. into and out of a sewer manhole; repeating this process up to 3-4 times every work hour.
Ability to lift and set aside 60-100-lb manholes using manhole hooks.
Ability to enter and exit through a municipal sewer manhole of approximately 24 inches in diameter (width).
Ability to work in and around sanitary and storm sewage, bacteria, and debris; including withstanding potentially strong smells associated with the sewage.
