Hello Neighbors. It's that time of year when the weather is going to be colder. I drove through the neighborhood and saw children without worm jackets or coats. I could tell some of them were cold and uncomfortable. Last year we handed out almost 30 heavy winter jackets, and many hoodies and sweaters. I'm getting a late start this year, I have been sick, but I'm 100% now. I'm collecting jackets and coats now and also any winter clothing. We are in need of long pants and slacks, shirts and blouses, shoes and sneakers for all sized children and adults. We can always use toys, I'm completely out. We need toiletries, laundry detergent, baby products and most anything a family in need can use. Food is in great need. It makes me very sad to go grocery shopping, because of the prices. I'm blessed to be able to buy the food I need for myself, but many others are not. I'm very blessed to be able to have this ministry in my home and have the time to work it. We are located within the countryside village of lake Lanier in buford, a mobile home community of 550 homes. I have been part of the neighborhood for 16 years and am so blessed to be so. I can pick up donations or you can drop them off and see what we have to help our fellow neighbors. Last year around 70% of donations came from within our mobile home community.
