A/C Technician Job Description: True Plumbers & AC is seeking self-motivated individuals with a positive attitude to join our growing and dedicated HVAC Maintenance team to help deliver great service to customers! A brief overview: Service and Maintain AC systems with efficiency and the ability to be thorough in the maintenance process. Change filters, flush, maintain and replace drain lines. Must be able to install contactors and capacitors as needed. Find any equipment issues and notify customers of the issue and solutions, along with cost. Discuss diagnoses and repairs with customers along with preventative measures and suggestions for future maintenance or replacement options. Looking for someone with great people skills and that is sales minded yet keeps the customer's best interest first. Keep invoicing and estimates current, call on parts pricing and availability, and order parts as needed. Keep the truck fully stocked and washed and communicate with office and management staff. What we OFFER you! -Full-Time -Year-Round work -PTO after 90 days -Paid Training -Weekly pay -7 Paid Holidays -Fully stocked company vehicle, gas card, cell phone, tablet, and uniform -Robust benefits package – health, dental, vision insurance, 401k match, IRA, and more... -Employee Referral Bonus -Career growth opportunity What you will do: -Serve customers by analyzing work orders, following daily travel schedules, listening to customer concerns, performing designated work, and proactively solving problems -Cooperate with other departments to continually improve the process and flow of information -For each installation job, request necessary parts & equipment needed in advance and verify truck is loaded properly with all materials needed to complete it -Document work performed in accordance with company procedure -Provide guidance to assistants or apprentices and share knowledge -Keep personal tools and equipment operable and up to date -Maintain current knowledge of HVAC codes and standards -Maintain professional conduct and appearance in all working conditions -All other duties and responsibilities as assigned by supervisor/manager -Drive a box truck and ensure that it is properly maintained -At least five (3) years of residential HVAC installation experience and knowledge -Valid local driver’s license with an acceptable driving record -Acceptable criminal background record -Strong customer service skills -Strong mechanical aptitude -Ability to exercise independent judgment and make appropriate decisions -Ability to organize and manage multiple tasks -Ability to work synergistically with crew partner(s), also independently and accurately -Knowledgeable and skilled in the safe use and maintenance of required tools Job Type: Full-time Pay: $22.00 - $30.00 per hour Benefits: 401(k) 401(k) matching Dental insurance Flexible spending account Health insurance Health savings account Life insurance Paid time off Retirement plan Vision insurance
