Description
We got a pair of sibling cats from Pet Alliance, and were told that these brothers were a bonded pair… so we took them both. After 2 months in our home, we realized that one of them isn’t as bonded to his brother as we were told. He constantly bullies his brother… he prevents him from eating, he prevents him from drinking… if we try to give the other attention, he quickly interjects himself in between us and his brother, hisses at him, and then proceeds to take all the attention and does not want to share with his brother. When we separate them even if we have to temporarily place the other in the bathroom… the other one will finally come out to eat, drink, go to the bathroom, etc… my point is, is these siblings were not meant to be adopted out in pairs.
I’m not sure why Pet Alliance would do this to them and us, but this is where we are now. We tried contacting Pet Alliance since then to bring the brother back to them, but they told us because it’s over the 30 days that I’d need to pay a $50 surrender fee. I paid $60 for the kitten already. So after exhausting all options, I wanted to see if there was anyone out there that would want a 6 month old Bombay kitten.
He’s very affectionate and vocal about wanting food or attention… I just don’t think he can be with other cats/kittens. He’d be perfect by himself. He’s still a bit skittish in general as well because Pet Alliance told me that they were found in an abandoned house and were for the most part feral. That’s another reason they wanted to sell them in pairs… They both are coming around very quickly, but they still scare easily with loud noises and fast unexpected movements. If you’re interested in a kitten, and you have no other cats… message me and we can plan a meet. I’m home all day today, but the next week is another story.
