Description
I am 99% sure I blew the head gasket late night on my Expedition. Its been leaking for awhile...slow leak, adding about 1/2 gallon water per week. I got gas late night and just as I was getting on the highway I felt a loss of power and it started blowing a lot of white smoke. I got off at the next exit and it hadnt overheated yet but is obviously missing on at least 1 cylinder and is consuming a lot of water. I started putting some water in it and got a lot of smoke. I dont see any water dripping on the ground underneath. I dont think the head is cracked...but we need to take it apart and fix it today. Ive got to be in Florida tomorrow. I am currently in north Alexandria parked behind a gas station. I could drive it a short distance but dont want to go too far so as not to cause further damage.
