Hey Now- Established drummer kicking off a new project. I would like to put a group together for a show/set that combines the best of Northeast/ Midwest Jam Bands with old school Southern Rock/ Boogie/ Funk. My influences are varied. I am a solid, not flashy drummer/ percussionist who likes to jam and share the musical space. I am looking for horns, woodwinds, brass, female singers who can shake a tambourine and our style. I do not care if you are in another group. I love to play. I am setting up a dedicated night to practice with a setlist in a top notch studio- central Nassau area. The core of the group is ready to go. Some of my influences and song selection/ charts will come from the following but not limited to: Northern/ Midwest: Phish, Moe, Strangefolk, Blues Traveler, Umphrees, Joan Osborne Southern: Little Feat, Dixie Dregs, Widespread Panic, The Grapes, Beanland, Col. Bruce and ARU IN my head I envision the best of what a BIG BAND can do in this hybrid style. I am in a working band but looking for more!
