Description
Join Disabled Hikers at Hoyt Arboretum to celebrate the publication of The Disabled Hiker's Guide to Western Washington and Oregon by Syren Nagakyrie. This book, written by a Disabled person, is the first of its kind to consider the diverse needs of disabled people in the outdoors. It is a groundbreaking publication for its disability representation and the information it provides. The Arboretum has generously provided the use of Stevens Pavilion so we can gather rain or shine. Come join us for an author talk and signing, group hike, and socializing. Snacks and swag provided! Books will be available for purchase at the visitor center. All are welcome!
