Description
Join Congressional Candidate Keith Swank for Lunch on Sunday, Oct. 9th. Keith Swank is a U.S. Army Airborne Infantry veteran and Seattle Police Captain sought after for his expertise in crisis intervention and de-escalation. Over his career as a police officer Keith continually answered the call of those in need, sometimes on the worst day of their lives. He dedicated his life to protecting the public and doing so as humanely as possible. Keith grew up on a small farm in rural Pennsylvania where he learned a strong work ethic. At 18 he felt a strong calling to serve his country and enlisted in the U.S. Army. In the Army he graduated from Ranger School, Airborne School, High Altitude Low Opening (HALO), and Infantry Training Keith enrolled at the University of Washington after being honorably discharged from the Army at Fort Lewis. During his freshman year he heard the call to serve the public again, this time as an officer in the Seattle Police Department. After graduating from the police academy, he also graduated from the University of Washington with a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology. Keith spent 15 years as a patrol officer and then was promoted to Sergeant. He oversaw 911 emergency response for four years where his duties expanded to serving as second in command of more than 100 people. While actively patrolling and keeping the streets safe again Keith was promoted to Lieutenant and spent two tours as a Watch Commander. He oversaw a section of the city and had 50 Officers and Sergeants working with him. In 2017 he was promoted to Captain and worked as the Night Duty Commander, the highest-ranking officer in the city at night. If elected, Keith’s focus will be on reinforcing our public safety and national security, tackling runaway inflation and homelessness, expanding our energy independence, overhauling the broken immigration process, improving border security and completion of a physical barrier on the border, providing tax relief for working Americans, reducing wasteful spending and the deficit, and protecting our Constitutional Rights.
